On the heels of highly successful multi-year partnerships with Zone3 and Z3ROD, professional triathlete Tyler Butterfield expresses his deep appreciation to both brands for their innovative products and staunch support. Butterfield served as a professional athlete ambassador for Zone3’s wetsuit and swim skin categories and for Z3ROD’s triathlon apparel. Beginning in 2017, Butterfield will partner with HUUB for the entirety of his swim gear and training and racing apparel needs.
“As is often said, all good things must come to an end – if only to open the door to new opportunities,” said Butterfield. “I can’t thank the teams at Zone3 and Z3EROD enough for originally bringing me on board and for allowing me to be a vital part of the growth of both brands. I have tremendous respect for the way they’ve built these brands from the ground up. Their authenticity and first-hand understanding of an athlete’s needs is obvious in their product quality and innovation.”
During his three years with Zone3 and Z3ROD, Butterfield achieved his greatest successes to date on the triathlon circuit, including a fifth place finish at the 2015 Ironman World Championship, battling the best of the best among the world’s long distance elites. At the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, he worked his way up from 13th in 2014 to the elusive top ten (finishing eighth) in 2015. An overall victory at the 2014 Abu Dhabi International Triathlon and a record-setting win at Ironman 70.3 Timberman (2016) added to Butterfield’s athletic accolades. And in July 2016, though just recovered from the double setback of illness and injury, Butterfield proudly packed his Zone3 and Z3ROD gear and headed to Germany, where he competed in the iconic Challenge Roth amidst a quarter of a million triathlon fans and media representatives from around the globe.
“Hats off to Zone3 and Z3ROD for being a critical part of what I’ve accomplished these past few years,” said Butterfield. “I wish them continued success in an ever-growing, ever-changing – and always exciting – endurance market in the years ahead.
