(San Diego, California) Aussie Mum Nikki Butterfield won the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon today against a stacked field, breaking the course record in a time of 7:00:22. Toward the end of the 200k bike leg, Butterfield took charge of the race, pulling away from the lead group that contained Jodie Swallow, Caroline Steffen, Angela Naeth and Melissa Rollison. Once in the lead, Butterfield never looked back and ran her way into the finish-line to take the women’s crown.
